KOOL COLORS,TONSORIAL HINTS, AND A CLOSE SHAVE

KOOL TREND If you're not willing to drink from the Kool-Aid, you might be willing to put it in your hair. One of the hottest trends hitting the hip hop generation are Kool-Aid colors, and we do mean KOOL-AID! Those "shocking" pinks, cool blues, cherry reds, green, or purple tresses (well, you get the pitcher.. uh, picture.) Here is how it is done; 1. Combine the fruit flavored powdered drink in your favorite color with hot water. 2. Mix into a very thick paste and apply. Remember if your hair color is very dark, you may need to pre-lighten the strands first. 3. Let it sit on your hair for about an hour, and rinse thoroughly. You can expect it to wash out more quickly than the semi-permanent colors.

THICKER HAIR IN MINUTES If thicker hair is more your need, this technique is up to speed. It does require several products, which should run about $30, and of course, a good haircut. This is how we do it; 1. Brush the hair before you shampoo. 2. Use a Kelp based shampoo, i.e. Sea Milk Shampoo, to add body. 3. Apply a honey based conditioner,(which draws moisture.) We recommend Franklin Philip's Milk and Honey Reconditioner, and let it sit for about 5 minutes, (preferably with a hot towel wrap.) 4. Rinse thoroughly. 5. Spray on a very light gel, such as our Crystal Shine Gely. 6. Now, comb and blow dry the spray gel into the hair. The end result will be thicker, and shiny looking hair, which will have enough hold to prevent the hair from blowing out of place in the wind.

NOW, THAT'S A CLOSE SHAVE! One of the keys to a great shave is a hot towel. The hot towel softens the whiskers, and makes it very easy to get a close shave. NOTE: PROCEED WITH CAUTION, AS TOWELS CAN CATCH FIRE IN THE MICROWAVE SO BE VERY CAREFUL!) * Simply place a damp terry cloth towel in the microwave for 30 seconds. Voila, A Hot towel! Please be careful when placing a hot towel on your skin to avoid getting a burn.

* Wrap the hot towel over the shaving area, for several minutes, prior to shaving.
