Is there a tinge of green cast to your hair? You might want to call a plumber. The problem can often be traced to copper leeching in to your water via brass pumps, copper fittings, pipes, and especially gas heater coils which are solid copper. If the plumbing bill is a bit steep, we have a much less expensive (and more effective solution). Simply, shampoo the hair with a slightly acidic ph product or rinse with lemon juice or vinegar. Better yet, use Franklin Philip's Active Life Shampoo. This formulation is made specifically to neutralize the effects of copper, chlorine and other chemical build up on your hair.

  • Cosmetic bath salts sold at many beauty boutiques contain strong fragrances that can actually irritate the skin. Best bet, use Epsom salts. They cost less, and are highly effective.

  • Let in the sunshine. Skin disorders such as acne and psoriasis often improve with monitored sun exposure. If you don't have time to sunbathe, Franklin Philip's dermatologic tanning units are the perfect solution.

  • Did you know, the average age of the nations 200,000 remaining barbers is 61? Also, It's not uncommon to find barbers in their 70's, 80's or even 90's still cutting hair. The downside, fewer people are interested in carrying on the profession.

12 days till Spring.

Stay tuned!
